Carnival Glass Love: Easily Accentuate Any Space With Gorgeous Vintage Carnival Glass

Vintage 1970 Fenton Purple Carnival Glass "Whirling Star" Iridescent Compote/ Pedestal Bowl

I absolutely love Vintage Carnival Glass, because no matter what your style is, it always seems to add a striking touch of glam to any room! My own Carnival Glass collection continues growing over the years, and I cannot get enough of it!

Carnival Glass is versatile in so many spaces. This is because it comes in so many different and unique shapes and colors. If you need to brighten up a space, or create a focal point, then Vintage Carnival Glass would be a fantastic go-to choice!

One interesting thing about Carnival Glass is that iridescent glass is actually the basis for Carnival Glass pieces. Carnival Glass was formed to model early Roman glass, and its inspiration came during the Art Nouveau period with the popularity of favrile glass, which was a form of art glass that was popular amongst the very wealthy during that period.

I especially love Vintage Fenton and Northwood Carnival Glass Pieces! During the Art Nouveau period, those that could not afford higher end glass like Tiffany Glass were pleased to be able to obtain Carnival Glass pieces made by the likes of companies such as Fenton and Northwood.

Fenton Art Glass was founded in 1905 by brothers Frank L. and John W. Fenton. Frank Fenton was especially passionate about creating colorful art glass! The Fenton name is a staple today, and credited for the creation of beautiful iridescent ware now known as Carnival Glass.

This awesome Vintage Fenton Purple Carnival Glass Pedestal Dish will be sure to act as the perfect focal point in any room!

Harry Northwood was the son of a famous English glass designer that eventually moved to America and established glass factories right here in the U.S.A. Northwood’s fame originated from his production of gorgeous Carnival Glass pieces that came in a variety of patterns and colors that were made from 1908-1925.

Check out this Vintage Northwood Carnival Glass Grape and Cable Lidded Butter Dish. This piece is a fabulous choice for stepping up any kitchen or dining table!

There were other big players in the making of Carnival Glass that also created such amazing work. Companies like Dugan Glass Company, Imperial Glass Company and Millerburg Glass Company are just a few of the companies that were true leaders in the making and selling of Carnival Glass.

This gorgeous Vintage Imperial Glass Decanter will definitely be a wonderful conversation piece to have at your next gathering!

Awesomesauce Tip: If you are looking to accentuate a space, but you are just not sure what vintage “train” to jump on, then you should definitely consider adding some quality Vintage Carnival Glass pieces to your home or office. If you are looking for some of that extra awesomesauce, then just try adding a Carnival Glass Bowl or Vase to your bookshelf, coffee table or dresser! No matter where you place it, Carnival Glass will be sure to add that perfect touch of vintage style to your space!
